The Belgian HR Tech startup MobieTrain is a mobile training app focused on boosting retail sales and engagement. Together with 9 other international startups they have been selected for Startupbootcamp Commerce, a leading global startup accelerator. MobieTrain will take part in its 2018 program in Amsterdam.
The selection of these 10 was done via different stages. Out of 600 international applications, a top 20 was invited to Startupbootcamp’s Selection Days. This top 20 came from all over the world, including UAE, Pakistan, UK and Germany. They went through a vigorous screening and evaluation process in front of over a hundred and fifty mentors and partners.
During a 4 month selection process they were thoroughly screened, which included pitching to program partners and mentor feedback sessions. It gave the startups the chance to showcase their products, services and solutions that will enhance commerce and retail innovation.
MobieTrain will receive free office space, €15.000 seed money and support from Startupbootcamp partners, such as Amazon, Cisco, Ahold Delhaize, PwC, America Today and Rabobank, as well as over €500.000 in partners service and access to a network of Angels and VCs internationally for potential further investment opportunities.
Guy Van Neck, Founder at MobieTrain commented: “We are thrilled to join the Startupbootcamp accelerator program. We believe that MobieTrain solves a real problem in the retail and wider L&D sectors, and this will give us the perfect opportunity to further validate our product and scale into new markets.”
Ernst Hoestra, Managing Director of the Commerce program commented: “The retail sector represents one of the essential drivers for the Dutch and European economy. The selected teams are on the verge of some of the most exciting areas of commerce growth and innovation. They faced fierce competition given the high level of quality of the startups that we met during our Selection Days.“
MobieTrain will now go through an intense 3-month acceleration program of workshops, one-to-one sessions and events in Amsterdam. They will be mentored by a network of entrepreneurs, top executives and investors and will have access to leading commerce companies in The Netherlands to validate and scale further.
